I hope you guys have a good turn out as usual. I wish we were going to be there, but our slush fund went out the door and in the Trailblazer. We will be back down soon though.
The count down is on, just 4 days to an STPA tradition, The Woodtucky Winter Nationals. The track is in the shop and warming up. Last year The track gave us fits due to being frozen solid. Also bring some extra clothes it may be a little chillier than normal because Dave is opening up the unheated side a little to gives us some more pit space. The last few pulls have been larger than normal (at the Sutphen pull last month we had 150 registered pullers) so with the extra space we wont have to get as friendly as last year. Extra heaters have been added but come prepared.
There will be a potluck dinner Saturday with the STPA supplying the ham, so bring a side dish to share. Sunday we will be passing around the hat and buying pizza so bring few extra bucks for that.
Saturday will be our first points pull of the year. A big thanks goes out to Jamie Macy who has made a cool spreadsheet to calculate and tabulate
the points and standings. A little something at the end of the year will go out to each of the class champions. Sunday will be another STPA favorite, "Buck A Truck", 1 dollar per truck and the winner gets to bring home all the money generated in each class. A class with 10 trucks wins 10 bucks and so on.
The address is listed in the original post above along with Jake's and Dave's numbers if you have any questions.
I know one of our members videoed the entire show. I haven't heard from him if he has edited it into a manageable download yet but I will check and put it on here when he does. I know there's a video of Jake Haulman's new 4 engine nitro unlimited. It was described at the pull by one of our fellow pullers that it looked like a fire breathing dragon going down the track.
I have about 130+ pictures and videos from the 2012 Woodtucky Pull, almost finished editing and sorting them. Should be able to post something within the next few days.
